Day 1, ARRIVAL TO CAIRO
Arrive at Sharm-el Sheikh airport, and transfer from the hotel to the town of Sainte Catherine, a very quiet and incredible place surrounded by history, religion, and adventure, however, you’ll surely enjoy St Catherine. Dinner and night in a Bedouin camp (fox camp at the foot of the mountains) with a large garden.
Day 2, WADI ZAWATINE:
Breakfast. Three hours of walking in the valley of Nakab Abo Jifa through the gardens of olive trees, figs, and pomegranates, lunch at noon. After two hours of walking around this beautiful place, we arrived at the bivouac of Wadi Zawatine (camp of Om Saad) held by an old Bedouin woman, dinner, and night under the stars.
Day 3, MOUNT ABAS_ BASHA:
Three hours of walking to the summit of Abas Basha, altitude 700 meters (with its castle at the top), lunch at noon, nap then two hours of walking in the afternoon, arrival at Farsh Al Romana evening bivouac, dinner around of fire and night under the stars.
Day 4 MOUNT AL _BABE:
Three hours of climbing for the amount of the door of life (Jabel al-Baba, altitude 900 meters), lunch at noon. two hours of walking in the afternoon, arrival in Wadi Serbal, evening bivouac, dinner, and night under the stars.
Day 5 MOUNT SERBAL
Three hours of walking towards the mount of blessing, or Jabel Serbal, or the black mount, the highest mountain of Egypt. Lunch at noon. Nap, then two hours of walking in the afternoon, arrival at Wadi al shag, the possibility of swimming in a swimming pool natural, evening bivouac, dinner, and night under the stars.
Day 6 MOUNT SAINT CATHERINE
Four hours of walking to the summit of Saint Catherine with its chapel, the monastery’s greatest treasures are iconic, some of which were painted before the 8th century. Lunch at noon, siesta then two hours of walking in the afternoon, arrival at Wadi Al Arbaine (the valley of 40 martyrs), evening bivouac, dinner, and night under the stars.
Day 7 MOUNT SINAI AND THE MONASTERY OF SAINT CATHERINE
Departure for Saint Catherine. Visit the monastery, a third-century Byzantine rite Greek Orthodox Christian monastic center, and ascent at sunset of Mount Sinai, a very important mountain for the three major religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam). Overnight in a Bedouin camp.
