During Ramadan, the general pace of life in Egypt slows down compared to that in normal days. Shops, museums, and historical attractions officially close earlier before sunset. Some restaurants and cafés open only after sunset and may stop serving alcoholic beverages. While almost all tourist hotels will be completely operational, including their restaurants and bars serving meals and alcoholic drinks as usual. Some hotels may hold "parties" at night with very friendly atmosphere and everyone is welcome, even though you are non-Muslim.
The climate is hot from May to October and cool from October to May. In the Summer, it is dry and hot in most parts of the country, and humid in the Nile Delta and Mediterranean coastal areas. Many of our holidays include an overnight sleeper train journey from Cairo - Luxor or Aswan and vice versa. The sleeper train is the highest class of rail travel available in Egypt, though by western standards it would be considered of a moderate standard. Cabins on board the sleeper train are equipped with two bunk beds and fresh linen is supplied. Dinner and breakfast are included within the fare.
There are also VIP train and sitting train but the quality is less than sleeper train and without dinner and breakfast.

But some museums have morning opening hours, from 9 AM to 4 PM evening opening hours, from 5 PM to 9 or 10 PM. Tipping is serious business in Egypt. In a restaurant, it is good to give between 5 and 10% tip directly to the waiter. For a small favor, like carrying luggage or parking a car, a few Egyptian pounds would be appropriated. If you want to tip your tour guide and vehicle driver is totally optional but should be considered if you're provided with great service. If you decide to tip feel free to give what you think your experience was worth.

It’s extremely difficult if not impossible to join a tour after it has begun. It is possible to leave a tour early however you will be responsible for your own arrangements from the moment you decide to leave the tour. We strongly recommend bringing a backpack or duffel bag, as suitcases can be cumbersome and difficult to store in buses, under seats, etc. Keep in mind that you will normally have to carry your own luggage on and off buses and trains and up and down hotel staircases. Suitcases with wheels may not work well on dirt or cobblestone roads.

We use a variety of hotels, the name of which will be provided after making your reservations. Just in case we cannot provide the hotel of your choice, we will carefully select another nearby, with the same category/rating. Most hotels that we use are near the pyramid area, and each has its own restaurant, some open 24 hours. Beside this, we can suggest other restaurants in that area.

Bank transfer is the easiest way to guarantee that your money is delivered to us safely and quickly. Credit cards and on-line payment are not common in Egypt. Be careful while choosing where to eat , Your hotel restaurant and those that your tour guide/Representative suggest, are the best options. Because of the dry/hot climate, consuming more water is necessary. Most visitors to Egypt prefer to purchase bottled water to use when they are away from the hotel. If you become ill, we will be able to help by bringing you local medicine we know is beneficial. In case of severe illness, we will bring a doctor, at your own expense.
