Bank ATMs are common in cities and tourist centres, but a few rules keep you safe.

Prefer ATMs attached to bank branches (NBE, Banque Misr, CIB, QNB). They are reliable, well lit and offer the official exchange rate.
- Daily limits are typically 4,000–10,000 EGP
- Withdraw the maximum to pay fewer fees
- Avoid standalone machines in quiet streets
- Tell your bank you're travelling to Egypt
Card skimming is rare but not unknown — inspect the slot and cover your PIN whenever you use a machine.
